From the west to the east is the translation of the Latin heading. This blog is dedicated to my journeys from the west to communion with the Eastern Orthodox Church which received me back in Pascha of 2006. This blog is intended to spur discussion, civil discussion, about Orthodoxy and perhaps those inquiring into the faith may find something here. A taste of some of chanting at St. Mary Orthodox Church

Great Vespers for the feast of the Dormition of our Lady, the Theotokos, was celebrated on August 14, 2009. This is Psalms 140 and 141 (LXX) with a few stichoi from Psalm 129. This was recorded by Rdr. Michael (Moses) Filmore and I made a video out of it using images of the nave and iconostasis that I had taken earlier in the year. Enjoy.
